Coastal Auto Parts donated $16,000 to Maine’s veteran heating program, the largest single contribution in its history.
Coastal Auto Parts donated $16,000 to the Maine Veterans Project’s Heating Fuel Program, the highest amount raised in the initiative’s three-year history. The funds, collected through sales of paper MVP logos and direct donations at Maine locations, will help provide winter heating assistance to veterans. The donation comes as the Maine Veterans Project faced near-fund exhaustion in October, making the contribution critical for sustaining operations. The company’s Caribou store contributed the most at $3,700. Since the campaign began, over $35,000 has been raised. The Maine Veterans Project, led by President Doc Goodwin, said the support could lead to its most productive year yet.
