A Charles County jury convicted Tristan Thigpen, 40, on January 16, 2026, of sexually abusing a minor.
The charges stem from allegations that Thigpen, a former Prince George’s County Police officer and caregiver, engaged in escalating inappropriate physical contact with a juvenile in Waldorf from late 2015 to 2016.
The abuse, which included touching the victim’s genitals while alone together, was reported in December 2020 after the victim disclosed it.
