Whitestown’s library begins a yearlong zine project to capture community stories for the U.S. 250th anniversary.
The Whitestown branch of the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library is launching a yearlong zine workshop series to document the town’s history and future through community storytelling.
The first event, on Saturday at 10 a.m., invites residents of all ages and skill levels to create handmade magazines featuring personal stories, art, and photos.
Inspired by the U.S. 250th anniversary, the project aims to preserve local voices and foster connection.
Materials are provided, and submissions can be made in person or remotely.
Additional workshops will be held throughout the year, with details available online.
