Trump claimed he prevented a nuclear war, saved millions of lives, and brokered a ceasefire, citing Pakistan’s prime minister’s gratitude and increasing the number of planes shot down to eight. India has consistently denied any third-party involvement, asserting the ceasefire was a bilateral decision initiated by Pakistan’s military chief contacting India’s counterpart after India’s retaliatory strikes following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. The White House included the claim in its “365 Wins in 365 Days” report.
