A McDonald’s employee in Springtown, Texas, was arrested on January 18, 2026, on fraud charges after allegedly using a personal device to double-charge customers’ cards during drive-thru transactions.
The 19-year-old suspect, Giovanni Primo Blount, reportedly charged an extra $10 to $20 per transaction, transferring about $680 to his own account over more than 50 incidents, possibly all on the day of his arrest.
The scheme was uncovered after a customer reported unauthorized charges.
Blount was released after posting a $30,000 bond.
Police urged the public to report suspicious financial activity.
