Sixteen Ohio counties delay property tax reappraisals to 2030–2031 due to administrative challenges and new tax laws.
Sixteen Ohio counties, including Franklin, Cuyahoga, and Hamilton, will delay their property tax reappraisals by one year due to administrative challenges, with Franklin and Hamilton now reassessing in 2030 and Cuyahoga in 2031.
The shift, part of a state-wide effort to improve efficiency and accuracy, spreads out the workload and helps manage the impact of five new property tax laws signed in December.
Other counties will reassess in 2028 or 2030–2031.
