The animal was seen struggling with a bloodied leg on a hiking trail before succumbing to critical injuries.
Authorities were alerted around 10 a.m., but the deer had already died by the time responders arrived.
The carcass was removed, and NParks urged drivers to stay alert near forested areas and not to approach wildlife, instead contacting the 24-hour Animal Response Centre for help.
