The CFP Board has named K. Dane Snowden as its new CEO, effective March 16, succeeding Kevin Keller after nearly 20 years.
Snowden, who joined the organization as COO in 2023, was selected after a months-long search that evaluated internal and external candidates.
He brings experience from roles at the Internet Association, National Cable & Telecommunications Association, and CTIA, and previously served in a public capacity at the FCC.
The CFP Board reported over 107,000 certified professionals by end of 2025, nearly double the 2007 count.
Snowden will lead during a period of growth, including expanding the credential’s reach in technology, diversity, and policy.
