DayOne plans a 560 MW data center in Finland, backed by $3B in financing, pending approvals.
DayOne, a Singapore-based data center developer, has unveiled early plans for a project in Klaukkala, Nurmijärvi, Finland, aiming for up to 560 MW of grid power, with peak construction expected to employ around 1,000 workers and long-term operations supporting up to 700 skilled jobs.
The project, pending government approvals and regulatory clearances including from the Ministry of Defence, involves a preliminary site sale by the municipality and a development agreement with Finland’s Fortum for zoning and grid planning.
It aligns with Finland’s national data center roadmap and sustainability goals, with DayOne also preparing a framework to support local education, environment, and culture.
The company secured over $2.0 billion in Series C equity financing in January 2026 and EUR 1 billion in mezzanine financing in December 2025 to support expansion across Finland and Europe.
