Singapore is resetting its bus ETA system on Jan. 21, 2026, due to technical issues causing inaccurate arrival times.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is resetting Singapore’s bus Expected Time of Arrival (ETA) system starting at 8 p.m. on January 21, 2026, to fix ongoing technical issues causing inaccurate arrival predictions.
The problem, traced to faulty on-board systems on some buses disrupting real-time data transmission, has affected apps like MyTransport.SG, Google Maps, and electronic displays since January 10.
While bus services continue operating normally with no changes to frequency, ETA predictions will be temporarily unavailable.
LTA engineers, contractors, and operators are working to resolve the issue, and commuters are advised to check service frequencies via the SimplyGo app or operator websites during the outage.
