A Kansas City man faces 14 felonies for a scam that stole $24K by selling cars with fake titles.
A 24-year-old Kansas City man, Mamadou Diallo, faces 14 felony charges, including forgery and first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, over a Facebook Marketplace scam from May to June 2025.
Authorities allege he sold at least eight vehicles using fake identities, provided counterfeit titles and bills of sale, then stole the cars back after sale.
Victims lost over $24,000 combined.
Diallo, who denies involvement, remains in custody on a $30,000 cash-only bond and has prior charges for vehicle theft and fleeing police.
If convicted on all counts, he could face up to 98 years in prison.
