A former Toronto flight attendant was arrested in Panama and extradited to Hawaii for fraudulently obtaining free flights using fake IDs.

A 33-year-old former Toronto flight attendant, Dallas Pokornik, was arrested in Panama and extradited to Hawaii on wire fraud charges for allegedly posing as a pilot and flight attendant to obtain hundreds of free flights on U.S. airlines over four years. Authorities say he used fake employee IDs from his former airline to access discounted tickets and cockpit jump seats on carriers based in Honolulu, Chicago, and Fort Worth. He pleaded not guilty, was ordered held in custody, and the case drew comparisons to the film "Catch Me If You Can". Airlines and Air Canada did not comment.
