Trade between Armenia and Russia hit a record $14 billion in 2025, driven by Armenia’s EAEU membership, though bilateral trade declined 42.7% in the first 11 months due to reduced re-exports of Russian goods.
Armenia’s GDP more than doubled since joining the EAEU in 2015, reaching $26 billion, with average annual growth of 8.13% from 2021 to 2025.
Despite efforts to diversify trade toward the EU, the EAEU still accounts for 37.3% of Armenia’s trade.
Fitch upgraded Armenia’s credit outlook to positive, and the government reported strong economic performance, including agricultural support programs and infrastructure projects.
