A 12-year-old girl avoids her school bus after a driver blamed her for a crash, prompting a safety investigation.
A 12-year-old girl from Huyton, Lyssa Storey, is too afraid to ride her school bus after an Arriva driver allegedly shouted at her following a January 9 collision between the bus and a parked van near Lord Derby Academy.
The incident occurred when Lyssa stepped into the road to signal the late-arriving bus, and her mother said the driver blamed her for the crash.
As a result, Lyssa now takes a much longer route home, adding 30 minutes to her commute.
Arriva Merseyside confirmed it is investigating and has requested the driver attend a meeting, stating it takes customer safety and wellbeing seriously.
