A San Francisco airport worker died Sunday evening after being pinned under a cargo pallet.
John Lacayanga, a 28-year-old San Francisco International Airport worker employed by dnata, died Sunday evening while towing a cargo pallet on a vehicle service road between Terminal 3 and the International Terminal.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m., with Lacayanga found under the pallet; no other vehicles were involved.
The San Francisco Fire Department responded, and the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health launched an investigation.
The San Mateo County Coroner’s Office is treating the death as an accident.
