Scarborough High senior Isabella Harmon won the high jump with a season-best 5-6, tying Maine’s top mark this winter, and placed third in the 55-meter hurdles with a personal best.
In the pole vault, she cleared 11 feet—1 foot higher than her previous best and the highest by any Maine girl this winter—using a longer pole for the first time.
She attempted 11-4 but stopped, showing composure throughout.
Her performance, aided by video review and mental discipline, highlighted her growth as a former gymnast, swimmer, and equestrian.
The Marathon Sports Elite Meet also featured strong results from other Maine athletes, including Angela Boisvert of Maine Central Institute, who set a school record in the long jump and improved her hurdles time to 8.75 seconds, and Marshwood’s Henri Rivard, who won the boys’ mile in 4:19.68, nine seconds faster than his seed time, with several other runners posting personal bests.
