Cobb County hosts free prom swap for students, accepting donations through Feb. 7.

The Cobb County Library System is hosting a free Prom Swap event in February, allowing high school students to select formalwear, shoes, jewelry, and makeup at no cost. Donations are accepted through February 7 at five library locations, with pop-up shops on February 21 and 28. Inspired by a similar program in Athens-Clarke County, the initiative aims to ease financial pressure on families and marks the first of its kind in Cobb County. Community members are encouraged to donate gently used or new formal attire before the deadline. Meanwhile, Ocean County Library is collecting prom dresses for grades 8–12 through February 26, with a major event on March 7 in Toms River.
