The 2026 MLK Jr. Award went to Billie Eilish. On January 17, the King Center held a ceremony in Atlanta to present the Beloved Community Environmental Justice Award. She discussed the difficulties of celebrating in the face of civil rights threats, climate policy rollbacks, and unequal access to necessities. Despite this, she reaffirmed her dedication to activism through her Changemaker Program, which raised over $11.5 million for food security and climate efforts through her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour, and found hope in the community and fellow honorees.
