Seattle police arrested a 49-year-old man on January 16, 2026, in connection with a series of bank robberies, including incidents at Columbia Bank on Broadway and Downtown BECU the previous day.
Authorities said he fled after handing a demand note to a teller at Columbia Bank, then was apprehended near a Goodwill store in Capitol Hill where a similar note was found.
Surveillance and evidence led to his arrest, with recovered cash believed to be from the robberies.
No injuries occurred.
The suspect is in custody facing multiple charges.
The case remains under investigation.
