Kia Australia launches new EV4 sedan from $49,990, undercutting Tesla Model 3 RWD.

Kia Australia has launched its new EV4 sedan with prices starting at $49,990 before on-road costs, undercutting the Tesla Model 3 RWD but above the BYD Seal Dynamic. The vehicle offers three front-wheel-drive variants with 58.3kWh or 81.4kWh batteries, a local ride and handling tune, and a seven-year unlimited-kilometre warranty. A hatchback version is expected by late 2026. Safety ratings include four stars from Euro NCAP without the Safety Pack and five stars with it, though ANCAP has not yet tested the car. Logbook servicing is required every 12 months or 15,000km, with pre-paid packages available.
