A mother, Sangeetha, 37, and her 8-year-old son, Partha, were killed in Bengaluru on January 19, 2026, when a private college bus struck them while they crossed Vivekananda Main Road around 6:30 a.m.
The bus, operated by Jain (Deemed-to-be) University, was reportedly making a U-turn when it hit the pedestrians.
The driver, Sunil, fled the scene and remains at large.
