An 18-year-old driver died early Sunday morning in Chicago’s Park Manor neighborhood after a white Jeep Cherokee crashed into multiple homes on East Marquette Road around 5:22 a.m.
The vehicle, traveling westbound, lost control and struck homes in the 6600 block of South Wabash Avenue.
Two passengers—a 14-year-old boy and another person—were hospitalized in critical condition at Comer Children’s Hospital.
Chicago police recovered two firearms from the vehicle and are investigating the crash, which resulted in no other injuries.
The driver was pronounced dead at University of Chicago Hospital.
