The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested Lekan Jimoh, known as 'Kanmo-Kanmo,' in Owode, Ogun State, on January 16, 2026, 12 years after he allegedly led a 2014 attack that killed three officers.
Authorities seized 69 kilograms of skunk cannabis during the operation.
The arrest follows a series of coordinated raids across nine Nigerian states, resulting in multiple arrests and large drug seizures, including hundreds of kilograms of skunk, cocaine, tramadol, codeine syrup, and cannabis oil.
The NDLEA highlighted ongoing anti-drug efforts, including public outreach and joint operations with customs, and called the capture of Jimoh a milestone in justice.
