A man was charged after crashing into a snowplow on I-90, injuring the driver.
A 29-year-old Illinois man was charged with driving under the influence and endangering a roadway worker after crashing into a Washington State Department of Transportation snowplow on I-90 south of Kittitas on Saturday night. The collision occurred as the plow was applying deicing material, causing it to veer into the median and roll over. The plow driver was injured, taken to a hospital, and later released with soreness. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the crash, and WSDOT reiterated the need for drivers to maintain a safe distance, avoid passing, and exercise caution around snowplows operating at reduced speeds during winter conditions.
