Karl Largie, 43, of Sudbury, pleaded guilty to uttering a threat to cause bodily harm after a Snapchat exchange in January 2026 turned confrontational when a female friend criticized his behavior.
He threatened to send someone to “stomp” the woman and warned her to “watch what she says.” The friend reported the incident, leading to his arrest.
In Ontario Court of Justice, Largie received a suspended sentence, 18 months of probation with conditions including no contact with the victim and staying away from Cambrian College, a five-year weapons ban, and a DNA order.
The victim, who did not attend court, said she suffers from anxiety and fear of retaliation.
Largie expressed regret, stating he was hurt by accusations and had no intent to harm.
The relationship has since ended.
