The New York Times reports that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt warned executive producer Kim Harvey and CBS anchor Tony Dokoupil that Trump would file a lawsuit if the interview wasn't shown in its entirety. According to CBS, the decision was made independently. This comes after CBS's parent company, Paramount, settled a lawsuit in 2024 regarding an interview with Kamala Harris for $16 million.
