Boston Bruins activate defenseman Hampus Lindholm from injured reserve for Jan. 17 game against Blackhawks.
The Boston Bruins activated defenseman Hampus Lindholm from injured reserve ahead of their January 17, 2026, game against the Chicago Blackhawks, ending his six-game absence due to an undisclosed injury sustained on January 3.
Lindholm, a 31-year-old veteran, returns with 14 points and 36 penalty minutes in 34 games this season.
To make room, the team reassigned forward Billy Sweezey to the AHL’s Providence Bruins, who had been recalled on an emergency basis after Andrew Peeke’s lower-body injury.
Peeke remains listed as doubtful for the game.
