YouTube now lets creators earn full ad revenue from non-graphic videos on sensitive topics like abuse and suicide, following a policy update.
YouTube has updated its monetization policy effective January 14, 2026, allowing creators to earn full ad revenue from dramatized or non-graphic videos about sensitive topics including domestic abuse, suicide, abortion, and sexual harassment.
The change applies to personal stories, preventative content, and journalism, while still blocking ads on child abuse, child sex trafficking, and eating disorder content.
The update, driven by creator feedback and a review of overly restrictive rules, aims to support responsible storytelling while aligning with advertiser standards.
It follows a similar policy shift in July 2025 that relaxed profanity rules.
YouTube ahora permite a los creadores obtener ingresos completos por publicidad de videos no gráficos sobre temas sensibles como el abuso y el suicidio, luego de una actualización de la política.
