Sterling bought a California shopping center for $31M to boost occupancy and expand its portfolio.
Sterling Organization acquired Slatten Ranch Shopping Center in Antioch, California, for $31 million, adding the 118,187-square-foot retail property to its national portfolio.
The center, shadow-anchored by a large Target and located in a high-traffic area, serves over 122,000 residents with high household incomes.
With 30,000 square feet of vacant space, Sterling plans to boost occupancy from 72% to 100% by leasing the space and improving tenant mix and operations.
The purchase was made on behalf of its $600 million SVAP IV fund.
The firm now owns 82 properties totaling over 13 million square feet and has over $1 billion in available capital for future investments.
