SoDough Square, an Orlando pizzeria known for Detroit-style square pizza, is opening a new location in North St. Pete on January 23, 2026, at 6925 4th Street North, formerly The Bread Artisans bakery.
Founded by Detroit native Robert Bair, the restaurant will begin with a soft opening limiting sales to 200 pizzas or closing by 9 p.m., whichever comes first.
After the grand opening, it will operate daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., closed Mondays.
The pizza features a thick, crispy crust baked in oiled blue steel pans, a blend of Wisconsin brick cheese, Amish white cheddar, and mozzarella, and a caramelized edge, using a technique learned from Gus Guerra’s family, credited with creating the style.
The expansion marks the arrival of Detroit-style pizza in the Tampa Bay area.
