Kenya’s top official visits Paris to boost ties ahead of Nairobi hosting the 2026 Africa-France Summit.
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has arrived in Paris for talks with French officials ahead of the 2026 Africa-France Summit, to be hosted in Nairobi—the first non-Francophone African country to do so since the summit began in 1973.
He met with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, signed a cooperation agreement with France’s development agency AFD, and engaged with major French companies including Airbus and Thales to boost investment.
The summit, expected to draw over 5,000 delegates, aims to strengthen collaboration in trade, security, climate action, health, education, and technology.
