Bangladesh reschedules votes for Pabna-1 and Pabna-2 to Feb. 12, 2026, after court order.
The Election Commission has set February 12, 2026, as the new date for voting in Bangladesh’s Pabna-1 and Pabna-2 constituencies, following a Supreme Court directive.
The decision, prompted by a legal dispute over constituency boundaries, reinstates the original boundaries defined in a September 4 gazette.
Nomination papers are due by January 18, with scrutiny on January 19, appeals from January 20 to 24, and symbol allocation on January 27.
Polling will run from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on February 12, concurrent with the rest of the country’s 298 constituencies and a national referendum.
