A Tennessee former deacon was charged with exploiting a teen babysitter after hidden camera videos were found on his phone.

Christopher Thomas Collins, a 42-year-old former deacon at Abba’s House church in Hixson, Tennessee, has been charged with nine counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor after his wife discovered hidden videos of a teenage babysitter in their home bathroom on his phone. The recordings, taken in 2025, captured the girl in private moments without her knowledge or consent, and were stored on his phone and SD cards recovered from hidden cameras near the water heater. Collins admitted to installing the cameras, viewing the footage via a mobile app, and deleting one image. The church reported the matter after learning of it during marriage counseling, removed him from his role, and is supporting his family. The case is ongoing.
