Pakistan launched its first ASAN Service Center in Islamabad on January 14, 2026, under a cooperation agreement with Azerbaijan, adopting the country’s efficient public service model.
The center, supported by Azerbaijan’s technical expertise and inspired by President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership, offers 64 services from 12 agencies using digital tools and volunteer programs.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the initiative as a step toward modernizing governance and announced plans to expand it to Muzaffarabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and overseas embassies.
The move strengthens bilateral ties and reflects Pakistan’s broader push to improve public services and develop its IT sector.
