Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks inspected over 120,000 watercraft in 2025, finding 38 boats with mussels and 570 with aquatic weeds, including more than 20,000 high-risk vessels from infested states.
Key inspection sites in Clearwater, Ravalli, and Anaconda saw heavy traffic, especially from Idaho.
For 2026, new stations will open near Helena and Eureka, with inspections starting in early March targeting out-of-state travelers.
