Lil Durk's murder-for-hire trial is set for April 21, 2026, after a delay to allow more preparation time.
Lil Durk’s federal murder-for-hire trial is set for April 21, 2026, after a judge delayed the original January 2026 date to allow more preparation time. The Chicago rapper, born Durk Banks, faces charges tied to a 2022 shooting targeting Quando Rondo, allegedly in retaliation for the 2020 killing of King Von. The attack killed Rondo’s 24-year-old cousin. Since his October 2024 arrest, Durk has been in federal custody and spent five months in solitary confinement after being found with an Apple Watch. He was recently released from solitary confinement following legal challenges over harsh detention conditions, including limited commissary access, no in-person visits, and one monthly phone call. He will remain in custody until his trial.
