Georgia has signed a $150 million deal with France’s Groupe ADP to expand Tbilisi International Airport, aiming to double its annual passenger capacity to 10 million by 2031.
The project, managed by Groupe ADP’s subsidiary TAV Airports, includes a 50% terminal expansion, more aircraft parking stands, and apron upgrades to improve efficiency and safety.
The changes are expected to modernize facilities and enhance regional connectivity.
The expansion aligns with plans for a new airport in Vaziani, east of Tbilisi, set to open around the same time.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze called the agreement a major step for Georgia’s transport infrastructure.
