David Linde, former studio exec, named Sundance Institute CEO, will lead its 2027 move from Utah to Colorado.
David Linde, former Universal Pictures chairman and Participant Media CEO, has been named CEO of the Sundance Institute, effective Feb. 17, 2026, succeeding Joana Vicente.
He will lead the organization through its move from Park City, Utah, to Boulder, Colorado, in 2027, overseeing the Sundance Film Festival and year-round programs.
Linde, a veteran of film and television with credits including "Spotlight," "Green Book," and "Arrival," brings extensive industry experience and a commitment to independent storytelling.
The 2026 festival will be the final one in Utah.
