Butch Vig, drummer for Garbage and musical director, helped raise over $300,000 at the Freezing Man benefit concert in Madison, Wisconsin, on January 9–10, 2026, for Joey's Song, a nonprofit advancing epilepsy research.
The two-day event, marking the organization’s 15th anniversary, featured performances by Vig, Garbage’s Duke Erikson, and artists including Matt Sorum, Curt Smith, Jane Wiedlin, Gina Schock, Vicki Peterson, John Rzeznik, and Brian Aubert and Nikki Monninger of Silversun Pickups.
Since its founding, Joey's Song has raised $2.1 million for epilepsy research.
