Sudbury's arts revival in 2025, fueled by city partnerships and new venues, continues into 2026 despite the loss of the Bell Mansion for an arts center.
Downtown Sudbury’s arts scene revived in 2025 through partnerships between local organizations and the city, featuring events like Music in the Park, a December arts crawl with 20 venues and 50 artists, and new murals from the Up Here Festival.
Venues including Knox Hall, The Night Owl, and Books and Beans hosted performances and exhibitions, while YES Theatre and Sudbury Indie Cinema expanded programming and secured long-term space.
Place des Arts launched IPAC, a FedNor-funded program for Francophone artists, and the Biggest Little Theatre Company opened a new venue.
However, the sale of the Bell Mansion, once home to the Art Gallery of Sudbury, ended plans for an arts education center.
