Solico Group opens a $35.4 million food plant in UAE, boosting food security and exports.
Solico Group has launched SoFood, a $35.4 million food manufacturing plant in Jebel Ali Free Zone, UAE, its largest investment in the country.
The 5,000-square-meter facility, equipped with European technology, has an initial daily capacity of 40 tonnes and will initially produce meat and protein under the Pemina brand for GCC and export markets.
Designed for scalability, future phases may include cheese, dairy, and sauces.
The plant supports UAE food security and industrial diversification goals, features sustainability measures, and benefits from DP World’s logistics network, enabling access to over three billion consumers.
It also promotes local employment and value-added manufacturing.
