ProCare, a major New Zealand healthcare provider, will begin managing national reimbursements for veterans’ medical and pharmacy costs starting April 1, 2026, following an appointment by Veterans’ Affairs New Zealand.
The company will enable general practices and pharmacies to claim up to $1,000 (ex GST) for services without pre-approval, using its existing infrastructure to streamline claims.
ProCare, which already oversees over 150 Health New Zealand contracts, will provide training and registration forms to providers in early 2026.
The initiative aims to improve access to healthcare, financial aid, career guidance, and other benefits for veterans, supporting equitable care across diverse communities.
