Pearlina Thomas, former CATS chief administrative officer, and contractor Jarian Colar have been indicted on felony charges including theft over $25,000 and conspiracy, allegedly related to misconduct during Thomas’s tenure from August 2021 to February 2022.
Colar also faces additional theft charges.
Both are scheduled for a February 24 court appearance.
The case is part of broader investigations into alleged corruption in East Baton Rouge Parish government, including claims of missing funds at CATS, though Thomas later clarified her prior statements about a $5 million loss.
Colar was arrested shortly after his wife gave birth.
The Attorney General’s office has not released further details.
