NSW plans a new ambulance station in Lisarow, part of a $615.5M expansion to improve emergency response.
A new ambulance station is planned for Lisarow on NSW’s Central Coast, with construction set to begin later this year following approval.
Part of a $615.5 million state-wide infrastructure program, the facility will accommodate up to 10 emergency vehicles and include training spaces, offices, and a gym.
It is one of four new stations planned for the Central Coast, alongside locations in Berkeley Vale, Kincumber, and Berowra.
The government is also recruiting 2,500 new ambulance staff, including 500 paramedics for rural and regional areas.
Officials say the expansion aims to improve emergency response times, reduce hospital strain, and support growing communities.
Similar projects are underway in the Hunter region, with new stations planned for Caves Beach, East Maitland, Edgeworth, North Rothbury, and Gateshead.
Updates will be shared as progress continues.
