Kentucky’s medical cannabis program launched with the opening of Speakeasy Dispensary in Lexington, the state’s first licensed dispensary, on January 14, 2026.
Governor Andy Beshear attended ribbon-cutting ceremonies in Lexington and Richmond, where the Natural State Green-Grass Canna Co. facility began cultivating cannabis for medical use.
