Eos Energy launches high-density, safe zinc-based battery system with Talen to power Amazon’s PA data centers.
Eos Energy Enterprises launched Indensity, a new high-density battery storage system using zinc-based technology, designed to meet the growing energy needs of AI data centers.
The system, built on the Z3 module and Znyth platform, features a stackable, modular core that integrates batteries, cooling, controls, and power management into a single unit, enabling up to 1 gigawatt-hour of storage per acre—four times denser than many current solutions.
It supports 4 to 16+ hours of storage, rapid response times, and enhanced safety through non-flammable materials.
The platform is being deployed via a partnership with Talen Energy to support Amazon Web Services data centers in Pennsylvania, with U.S. manufacturing content at 96%.
