Dacia to launch a €18,000 electric car in 2027, using a new platform and avoiding EU tariffs.
Dacia plans to launch a new budget electric vehicle in Europe in 2027, based on the Renault Twingo platform, with a starting price under €18,000.
Built in Slovenia, the car will use a lithium-iron phosphate battery and 81-horsepower motor, avoiding EU tariffs that apply to the China-built Spring.
It will feature distinct styling and design to coexist with the Spring, which remains in production.
The new model aims to help Dacia meet EU emissions targets and expand its affordable EV lineup, with electric versions of the Sandero and Jogger expected by 2028.
