Wing Commander Sasha Nash becomes the first woman to lead the RAF's Red Arrows aerobatic team.
Wing Commander Sasha Nash has been appointed the first woman to lead the Royal Air Force’s Red Arrows aerobatic team, succeeding Wing Commander Adam Collins after his three-year tenure.
A fast-jet pilot since joining the RAF in 2005, Nash flew the Tornado GR4 in frontline and international missions.
She now commands the 150-member unit, including air and ground crews, and expressed pride in the role, calling it a “career opportunity of a lifetime.” Inspired by airshows from a young age, she aims to inspire future aviators from diverse backgrounds.
Training for the 2026 display season is underway, and she looks forward to engaging the public at events.
She praised her predecessor for his dedication and lasting impact.
The appointment marks a historic milestone for the RAF and the Red Arrows.
