A UK high court hears an appeal over the dismissal of a terrorism charge against rapper Mo Chara, linked to a 2024 London concert.
The High Court will hear an appeal on January 14, 2026, regarding the dismissal of a terrorism charge against Kneecap rapper Liam Og O hAnnaidh, better known by his stage name Mo Chara, who was charged with displaying a Hezbollah flag and chanting support during a London concert in 2024.
Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring dismissed the case in September 2025, finding that the prosecution was illegal because the Attorney General and the Director of Public Prosecutions had not given their consent within the allotted six months.
O hAnnaidh's legal team contends the charge was improperly brought, while the Crown Prosecution Service has appealed, citing a significant legal issue.
Mr. Justice Linden and Lord Justice Edis will preside over the hearing.
