Ubisoft cuts 55 jobs in Sweden amid restructuring, but The Division and key projects continue.
Ubisoft is cutting 55 jobs at its Swedish studios Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft Stockholm as part of a restructuring effort, following a voluntary leave program that didn’t meet staffing targets.
The layoffs, described as structural and not tied to performance, are part of a broader cost-cutting initiative.
Despite the cuts, the company confirmed that development on The Division franchise—including The Division 3 and The Division 2: Survivors—will continue, along with work on the Snowdrop engine and an unannounced tech project.
This follows the closure of Ubisoft Halifax, which eliminated 71 jobs earlier in 2026.
Ubisoft emphasized that its long-term strategy and major titles remain on track.
